‘Liz and Dick’ Starrer Lindsay Lohan Reported Massively Turning Down Half A Million Dollar Deal With ABC’s “Dancing With The Stars”
Lindsay Lohan has reportedly rejected a $500,000 offer to appear on ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars” because she wants to focus on her acting career.
The 26-year-old ‘Liz & Dick’ actress turn down the huge pay amount to compete on the ballroom dancing show because she wants to re-establish herself as an actress.
Although Lindsay was going through numerous financial problems, one of which include owing her former attorney Shawn Holley $300,000 in unpaid legal fees. Her ‘Scary Movie 5′ co-star and Hollywood trouble magnet, Charlie Sheen also lent her $100,000 to help her pay off her $233,904 tax bill last year. She just filmed “The Canyons” with adult film star James Deen, but Lohan was only paid $100 per day for her work on the Bret Easton Ellis-written film, reports said.
“Sources close to Lindsay tell us the actress was made several offers to join the DWTS cast this upcoming season – offers that maxed out at $550,000,” TMZ said. “But Lindsay shut them down, telling friends she’d never consider doing reality TV.”
Redhead Lohan’s movie “Liz & Dick” last November was widely considered a flop and was shredded by critics. She was reported to be difficult to work with on the sets of “The canyons” with her porn-star co-star James Deen, demanding the entire crew strip down to their socks for her nude scene. The film didn’t even make it to this year’s Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah.
She’s basically made herself practically unhireable as reported on her New York Times magazine profile. I heard someone say, “Beggars can’t be CHOOSERS.”
As Season 16 of “Dancing With The Stars” prepares to launch in March, it seems casting is swinging into high gear. It’s also been heard that “Bachelorette” Emily Maynard may be among the line-up; and that former Miss Alabama and Internet sensation Katherine Webb has been asked to participate, while “huge fan” Ann Romney has declined an offer to appear on the show. DWTS officials refused to comment on the issue. They said, ‘We don’t comment on casting.”
The ups and downs in her film career as well as her personal life could have breathed a sense of relief if she hadn’t turned down the lucrative offer. God knows, what’s on her mind!
