Russell Crowe, Quentin Tarantino, Robert De Niro were among the heavyweight celebrities who decked up the 2nd Annual Australian Academy Cinema Television Arts International Awards at Soho House in West Hollywood, putting in their much needed appearances.
The award recognizes and presents awards in five international categories of which Jennifer Lawrence bagged the Best Actress for Silver Linings Playbook but she couldn’t make it to the event because she got sick with Pneumonia. That’s too bad!
Legendary actor Robert De Niro who took home the Best Supporting actor for Silver Linings Playbook walked in holding hands with wife Grace Hightower. I’m sure he was happy to be there but his expressions which are a bit hard to read these days indicated only the neutral. He looked absolutely charming though! A smile would have set things straight which he chose to go without, in front of the paparazzi at least.
On the other hand in the same category for the female was Robert’s co star Jacki Weaver, who won the award and looked quite cheerful showing up in a lacey black dress keeping things subtle.
The very talented and moody Quentin Tarantino was all smiles to have received the best screenplay award while Russell Crowe who hosted the event posed for a few shots exchanging wishes, for the press.
However, Silver Linings Playbook actors and actresses undoubtedly owned the event and would have been more so had Jennifer come to receive her statuette.
