Justin Bieber Admits Being Heartbroken And Having A Hard Time After The Breakup With Pop Star Selena Gomez

Justin Bieber and his longtime girlfriend Selena Gomez finally called for a quit last month after a long, dramatic “We Are Never Ever”- style breakup.

The young heartbroken singer admitted he is still having a hard time following his split. “I’m not in the happiest place that I’ve ever been,” Justin told Billboard magazine, in a new interview. “I’m trying to get through what I’m going through. Like I said, I have my really close friends to cheer me up and keep me going.”

Justin and Selena split earlier this year after a romantic getaway in Park City, Utah, over the holidays, and recently, rumors erupted suggesting they both sang “Cry Me A River,” at their respective shows, directed at each other.

Asked about the covers – and the speculation over their on-again, off-again romance – Justin said the reports are “fake.”

“There’s so many rumors,” he told Billboard. “People say I call Selena every day and she won’t pick up the phone or I’m chasing her down, and these are all fake stories.”

And now, with the release of Bieber’s Believe acoustic album, comes the first breakup song. “Nothing Like Us” where he sounds pretty sad! This new acoustic album, out today, also features three new tracks including a heartbreak ballad thought to be about his former girlfriend Selena Gomez.

After all, it features such lyrics as “Nothing can ever, ever replace you/Nothing can make me feel like you do” and “Gave you everything/Everything I had to give/Girl, why would you push me away?”

When the interviewer points out that the track is less “angry” than it is “sweet,” Bieber explains, “Because at the end of the day, there’s nothing like us, you know? That’s just it. It is what it is. People are going to relate to that.”

Bieber told Billboard he would not be attending the Grammy awards ceremony in Los Angeles.
