American Idol season 4 winner, singer Carrie Underwood who is originally from Oklahoma, saddened by the disastrous effects of the tornado that killed 24 people along with injuring over 200, decided to donate $1 million from the proceeds of her Blown Away tour to the Red Cross so that it serves some purpose in speeding up the assistance already in progress.
The 30 year old star couldn’t face away and carry on with her life when especially its Oklahoma, and showed how deeply she cared for her place of origin and was quoted saying the following humble words
“I have watched the devastation in my home state of Oklahoma over the past several days with great sadness. With the help of my fans who attended my concerts over the past year, we can offer the Red Cross a little extra help in comforting those affected by the recent tornados.”
The “Jesus take the Wheel” country crooner does seem to have the heart her songs advertise!
